About

We didn't build a chatbot. We built the co-founder that won't let you lie to yourself.

Where This Actually Came From

We're not serial founders with a trail of exits behind us. We're two students — one in architecture, one in communication and media — who kept trying things on the side. Most of them small. Most of them pretty random. None of them big.

But every single time, we ran into the same wall: we needed something like a CEO. Someone to make the calls we weren't sure how to make, hold the plan together, tell us when we were drifting off it.

We didn't have that person. So instead, every time, we did the same thing: opened up Claude or ChatGPT and asked it to be that voice for us — the structure, the accountability, the second opinion we didn't have in the room.

Eventually we noticed the pattern. We weren't randomly reaching for an AI each time by accident. We were reaching for the same missing role, over and over, across completely different projects. So we stopped treating it as a workaround and started building it as the product.

Barvol isn't built on a string of successes. It's built on noticing what we kept reaching for, every time we didn't have it.

I'm 19 and studying architecture — turns out I've spent more time thinking about structure than I realized. Companies need it just as much as buildings do.

I'm 19 and studying media — the thing I keep learning is that the hardest story to tell honestly is your own progress.

Barvol exists so no founder finds out too late that they were the only one who believed the story.
